Project Jake[edit | edit source]

Project Jake is named for Elizabeth “Jake” Feinler. It involves the development of a framework for expressing collection, labeling and access rules for Registration Data Directory Services (RDDS), also known as WHOIS. This work is intended to provide a new foundation for Internet-based data collection and disclosure policies related to domain name system registration and to work with ICANN's RDAP. Steve Crocker presented on the progress of this project during ICANN 74 at the "GNSO:EPDP Phase 2" Session.[2]
