Ben Crawford is the former CEO of CentralNic, a global domain name registry currently operating 25 domain extensions including the ccTLD .la, and such subdomains as us.com, eu.com and uk.com.

From January 2009 to December 2022, Ben represented CentralNIC at international conferences, such as the .nxt Conferences,[1] and ICANN's meetings.[2]

Ben Crawford oversaw the largest deployment of DNSSEC for any registry to date as of December 17th, 2010.[3]

He is an avid sports fan.[4]

Prior Experience

Mr. Crawford specializes in developing international media and technology businesses. Ben's previous positions include President of Louise Blouin Media in New York, Managing Director of SportBusiness Group in London and Executive Producer of IBM's Official Website for the Sydney Olympics.[5] Ben is a founding executive of two leading cultural websites, artinfo.com and MutualArt.com. In 1996, Ben negotiated a breakthrough deal to create content for Microsoft's then-new MSN. He is also a widely-published writer, most notably for the New York Times' Magazine and its related blog.[6] He also publishes in Luxury Travel Magazine, and was once a consultant to the president of Condé Nast.

Ben continues to run a consultancy business, specializing in business development and strategic launches. Ben Crawford Consult was founded in 2001.[7]
