David Fowler is the Director of Marketing and Communications at CIRA.[1]

Career History

David began at CIRA in September 2008. Prior to joining CIRA, he was Director of Marketing at the Royal Canadian Mint. Among other duties, he was the Executive lead in the development of the 2010 Olympic Coin program, the largest program of its type ever launched by the Mint.[2] From 1990 to 2002, David served as the General Manager of the Marketing Business Transformation Department of the Canada Post. Before that, he served several short terms in a variety of positions, including Vice President of National Marketing and Sales at the Radio Bureau of Canada, Account Supervisor at Carder Gray Advertising, and Account Executive at Amborse Carr Deforest and Linton.[3]

Education

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1980 and a Diploma in Business Administration in 1981 from Wilfrid Laurier University. He was also certified by the Institute of Canadian Advertising at a Certified Advertising Agency Practitioner.[4]
