Michuki Mwangi is the Regional Development Manager for ISOC in Africa.[1] He also serves as the CTO at Kenya Internet Exchange Point (KIXP).[2]

He has a diploma is Computer Analysis and Design from Data Center College in Nairobi, Kenya. At AfNOG, he has recieved additional training in Scalable Network infrastructure and services .

Career History edit

In 2008, Mwangi joined ISOC to help promote Internet in the Developing Areas of World. Prior to joining ISOC, he worked as an Internet Technology Consultant. Earlier in his career, he served as the Administrative Manager at .KE registry (KENIC) and as the President of the African Top Level Domain (AfTLD) Association. He participated in the the anycast deployment of the .com, .net, F, and J root servers in Kenya, as well as other key infrastructure deployments in Africa.[3]

Mwangi has also participated in the African Network Operators Group (AfNOG), the Country Code Name Supporting Organization (ccNSO) of ICANN and AfriNIC (the Regional Internet Registry for Africa).[4]

He was selected as an ISOC Fellow to the IETF in 2006 and attended the 66th IETF meeting which was held in Montreal.[5]
