Mr. Cooper has a background in trademarks, both in the private and corporate sector, and in all aspects of brand, copyright, trademark, and identity management. He has spoken as a trademark expert at various fora across Europe and North America; Philip is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Manchester School of Law.

Work

Philip has long been working in leading patent and trademark positions, such as those with Crossguard, GKN, BT and Rover Group. He led the Trademark divisions of the latter two. With Rover Group, Mr. Cooper worked to protect prominent automobile brands like Land Rover, Mini, and MG. His work there included registering the classic shape of the Mini automobile as a trade mark, creating the name Freelander, and leading a major brand extension program for Land Rover.

VeryMark represents international clients, as well as at the UK Intellectual Property Office and the European Community Trade Mark & Designs Office.[2]
