Patrick Jones

Patrick L. Jones is ICANN's Registry Liaison Manager. Patrick assists registries with any ICANN-related issues, assists with TLD policies, and coordinates the Registry Services Evaluation Process.[1]

Career History

Patrick joined ICANN after working for nearly five years with a law firm in Washington, D.C., where he assisted with domain name protection and intellectual property enforcement for a variety of clients, including the International Olympic Committee and the American Red Cross. In addition, Patrick provided government relations and policy consulting on new TLDs. From 2001-2005, Patrick maintained UDRPlaw.net, an informational website on domain name disputes. UDRPlaw.net was one of the first portals for information on the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy.

He worked as a law clerk at NCAA from 2000-2001, and at the Indiana Department of Workforce Development in 1999. He has also served as an assistant swimming coach at IUPUI.[2]
