Abdulrahman Almarzouqi works for UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. He is responsible for many ICT initiatives with the focus on Internet Public Policy issues. Abdulrahman have worked in reforming the .ae ccTLD in 2008. He oversee the development of .ae including all the ccTLD policies, the restructure of the market to registry/registrar model. He also was responsible for redelegation of .ae from the incumbent operator. Abdulrahman is also involved in key strategic Internet initiatives in the UAE including aeCERT, UAE-IX, IPv6, new gTLDs roll out in the region, data protection and development of Cloud in the UAE.

Career History edit

Abdulrahman is currently working as Manager Internet Advancement within the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, a UAE federal government entity responsible for ICT sector.

Previously Abdulrahman worked with Emirates Telecommunications Company Etisalat as Systems Security Engineer within the ISP unit of Etisalat.

Abdulrahman is holder of Masters Degree from Australia's Wollongong University and Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering with honors from Khalifa University of Technology.
