Joke Braeken is the Deputy Manager of International Relations at EURid -- the company that manages the .eu ccTLD -- and has held that position since December 2007, though she has worked at EURid since July 2006, formerly as Liaison Manager. As the External Relations Unit Deputy Manager for international relations, Braeken provides support to the External Relations Manager on issues such as developments at ICANN, the Internet Governance Forum, or CENTR. She actively monitors developments in the international TLD community, including issues related to ccTLDs, gTLDs, and the implementation of IDNs. She also acts as Liaison Manager for EURid's non-European registrar community.[1]

Braeken's involvement with ICANN includes being a ccNSO member representing .eu, and being a member of a Working Group on country and territory names.[2]

Career History

From August 2000 to June 2006, Braeken was the Head of Registry Relations at Tuonome.it, an Italian ICANN-accredited domain registrar and hosting provider. She was responsible for the management of international customer portfolios and managed the daily functions of the company's Belgian subsidiary.[1]
