Young Eum Lee works with the Korea National Open University and serves as a ccNSO council member representing .kr. She has been a councilor for the ccNSO since its inception in 2003, representing .kr in the Asia Pacific region.

She is currently a professor in the Department of Media Arts and Sciences at Korea National Open University, a distance learning institution; where she has been working since 1997, teaching subjects related to new technologies such as New Media, Multimedia Production, Information Networks, and Graphic Communication. Her research focuses on various aspects of the effects of new media such as the Internet, IPTV, DMB, and Satellite Television.

Previous Experience

She has previously served as chair of the Name Committee as well as a member of Number and Names Committee of KRNIC(.kr Network Information Center), the registry for .kr domain from 1999 until the establishment of NIDA in 2004. She has also been serving as a member of the Internet Address Policy Committee(IAPC) of the Ministry of Information and Communication of Korea since 2006, participating in discussions related to the various domain name policies in Korea.

She has also served as a board member for the APTLDin 2002.
