Onica N. Makwakwa is the Africa Regional Coordinator for the World Wide Web Foundation's, Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI). She has also served as Head of Regional Office for Africa at Consumers International (CI) and Executive Director of UNITY: Journalists of Color in the USA. Onica has over 20 years professional experience in the nonprofit sector with various roles in advocacy, communications, fundraising, executive leadership and governance. An early adopter and avid user of digital communication platforms she is passionate about the Internet as a tool for transformation and empowerment.
