Monika Zalnieriute
Monika Zalnieriute has been a Research Fellow at the Centre for Internet and Human Rights in Frankfurt, Germany, since June 2014. Her research interests focus on Internet Governance, data privacy, surveillance and freedom of expression. She now provides research expertise on data privacy and free speech issues to the Council of Europe, and Article 19; and is actively involved in the ICANN policy formation processes as a member of the Non-Commercial Users Constituency, and the promotion of human rights and establishment of the Advisory Human Rights Council within ICANN in particular.[1]

In November 2014, she helped co-found Z E P H I R O, a NGO based in Lithuania that aims to fight for gender and sexual freedom for individuals across the globe.[1]
Zalnieriute holds a PhD in Law from European University Institute in Florence.[1]
ICANN 52 in Singapore was Zalnieriute's first ICANN conference, and she has also attended IGF.[2]
