Net Neutrality
Network Neutrality, colloquially known as Net Neutrality is a defining goal in the development of the Internet. Simply put, it is the principle that "all internet traffic should be treated the same." [1] Further, it is a system of check and balances to ensure that no one entity, commercial or otherwise, influences the content or pace of the Internet.
