.sz
.sz is the ccTLD for Eswatini. The letters "sz" come from the country's former name, Swaziland. It is managed by the University of Swaziland, Department of Computer Science.[1] The Swaziland ISP Association (SISPA) is the registry for .sz.[2]
Rules and Restrictions[edit | edit source]
An applicant for a domain name under .sz must:
- have an organisation that legally exists within the borders of Eswatini, as per prevailing companies Act of Swaziland;
- have a bona fide intention to use the Domain Name on a regular basis on the Internet;
- warrant that the use or registration of the Domain Name by Applicant does not interfere with nor infringe the right of any third party in any jurisdiction with respect to trademark, service mark, tradename, company name, copyright nor any other intellectual property right;
- not be seeking to use the Domain Name for any unlawful purpose, including, without limitation, delictual interference with contract or prospective business advantage, unfair competition, pornography, injuring the reputation of another, nor for the purpose of confusing or misleading a person, whether natural or incorporated.[2]
Second-level Domains[edit | edit source]
Registrations are only possible under a second-level domain. The SLDs available are ".co.sz", ".ac.sz" and ".org.sz".
The ".gov.sz" SLD is delegated and managed by Government.[3]
