Ellen Rony is the co-author of "The Domain Name Handbook; High Stakes and Strategies in Cyberspace."[1] The book has spawned a website, DomainHandbook.com, which continues to document ICANN and the world of Internet policy development. She is also a founding member of the Boston Working Group, which is a group that successfully influenced the design of ICANN, and particularly pushed for it to become a fully transparent and inclusive organization.[2] She is also a domain name expert and has been called upon to act as an expert witness in litigation regarding the field.[3] She has also appeared on the "Today Show" to discuss celebrity domains.[4]

Ellen has been writing about the IT and computer industries since 1981.[6] She has stayed active within the community since its very beginning and thus has been able to compile a unique archive of documents, meeting minutes, resolutions, and other source materials.[7] A list of some of her writing can be found here.

Ms. Rony holds a Master of Arts in Communication from Stanford and a Bachelor of Arts from Pomona College.[8]
