Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics
The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) is a professional graduate school and a non-profit academic institute approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. KCGI is part of the KCG Group, which is dedicated to providing world class IT education in collaboration with overseas governments and universities. Toshiharu Hasegawa is the current president of the institute.[1]

KCGI was established as an independent graduate school by the founders, professors, instructors, and staff members of the Kyoto Computer Gakuin in collaboration with distinguished professors in the United States from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Information Technology Program and elsewhere. [2]
The institute is affiliated with different academic institutions in the Japan and United States, including the Kyoto Computer Gakuin, Kyoto Japanese Language Training Center, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and will all the educational institutions of the KCG Group located in various countries. KCGI also collaborates with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).[3]
New gTLD Application
The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics was endorsed by the Kyoto Prefectural Government to apply for and manage the operations of the .kyoto geographical TLD via ICANN's New gTLD Program.[4]
