Philip F. Johnson is a Liberian Diplomat and African Internet Policy Development Volunteer Leader.[1]

He is also the founder and President of the ISOC Liberia Chapter, which is a member of ICANN's At-Large Structure. Johnson has been involved in the advocacy for Internet technology Development and Access in Liberia for nearly a decade. His involvement has provided him an institutional knowledge of the Global Internet ecosystem, including the ICANN governance system and other Internet-related institutions. His Internet education includes courses with the DiploFoundation in Diplomacy, Internet Governance and technology. He is a graduate of the Internet Society Next Generation Internet Leadership Program and has participated in other Leadership development training with regards to ICT/Internet Development. Other internet communication-based courses include Web2.0 and Social Media for Development and the future of the Internet with the ITU Academy.

Johnson is a career Diplomat /ICT Development professional. He has also been involved in the integration of ICT/Internet and Diplomacy, where he is incorporating new ICTs in day-to-day diplomatic work by people and institutions at home and representative abroad for increased speed, reach, effectiveness as well as security of information communication.
