Abdulkarim Oloyede is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Telecommunication at the University of Ilorin and an ALAC councilor.
==Career History==
Oloyede teaches modules on [[Internet Protocol]]s, [[Cybersecurity]], [[Internet Governance]], [[Networking]] and [[DNS]] at the University of Ilorin. As a post-doctoral researcher for the University of York, he is also working on broadband deployment strategies for developing countries and emergency situations. In particular, Oloyede is researching how the High Altitude Platform (HAP) can solve telecommunication problems in Africa.

==ICANN and Internet Governance Participation==
Oloyede has been a member of the [[RSSAC]] Caucus, [[CPWG]], and [[ATLAS#ATLASIII|ATLAS III]] Leadership team. He is currently an ALAC councilor, representing [[AFRALO]].

Oloyede has a bachelors from Bayero University Kano and a master's and a doctorate from the University of York, all in Electrical Engineering.
