Gerard Meijssen worked along with the Tropenmuseum of Amsterdam to make the old photos and pictures of museum objects available that were not only part of the Dutch cultural heritage but also of the Surinam and Indonesian cultural heritage <ref>[http://rencontres.wikimedia.fr/index.php?title=Intervenants/en wikimedia.fr]</ref>.
