I recently graduated as an Electrical Engineer with “Communication and Networking” major from National University of Sciences and Technology (Ranked no. 1 Engineering Institution by Higher Education Commission Pakistan). To study this domain in more depth I did my final year project on IPv6 Security, which was mainly based on research. My interest in the field of Internet and its byproducts is unparalleled with my colleagues and fellow students and I have a few international certifications to my credit from Cisco, Juniper and APNIC, mainly focusing on routing, switching and security aspects of the Internet. I was part of the organizing committee for Cyber Secure Pakistan and currently an enthusiastic member of Internet Society Pakistan. I earned fellowships to an APNIC and IGF meeting. I am also part of NextGen program for ICANN which speaks for my curiosity and permanent involvement in the ever growing field of Internet and technology. Fortunately, I got a chance to put all my knowledge to test when I joined Huawei as a Network Engineer as my first job right after graduation. I am fond of socializing and like to get involved with people from all walks of life and hence would like to continue attending conferences held at different parts of the world. I believe a conferences like ICANN encourages new comers and would be my stepping stone to a new world of technological advancements. The youth of developing countries direly needs such a global exposure to stand parallel with their counterparts from developed nations and in order to provide contributions to the internet world in the form of innovative ideas, inquisitive queries and concerns. I too, wish to learn and contribute in such a manner. Apart from academia I have been a good sportsman. I particularly like playing football and I have played on national level and have won numerous laurels in Pakistan. Other than sports I have been an active member of different clubs and societies in the university like sports society and community service. I have organized various events within and outside university like World Engineering Congress 2013 and Cyber Secure Pakistan 2015. I have the honor of being the Chairperson of Google Students Group @NUST and have always liked to help my fellow students and junior regarding technology. For me serving the community has always been a priority and for that, I volunteered for Edvolution Islamabad Chapter to teach under privilege students and have been the part of WWF since two years. I believe that for a peaceful world, everyone has to play their role and being part of the educated and technologically privileged society I have a greater social responsibility and I have to continue working hard to achieve this vision.
