Ishan
Ishan Mehta is a Master’s student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Public Policy and research assistant for the Internet Governance Project (IGP). His current work involves Internet access and zero-rating services. He spent the summer working at NTIA in the Office of Policy Analysis and Development. Ishan is passionate about online privacy and security and is involved with the EFF affiliate, Electronic Frontiers Georgia. He is also the founder and president of the Georgia Tech student group, Open and Secure Internet Advocates (OSIA). He was selected in 2018 as a NextGen Fellow for ICANN 61 and 2018 RSAC fellow.
Ishan has an engineering background with a Master’s and undergraduate degree in computer engineering. He worked at Intel, California as a hardware engineer prior to shifting focus to public policy.
