Jaberamatogoro
Mr. Jabhera Matogoro is currently working as Assistant Lecturer at the University of Dodoma, College of Informatics and Virtual Education in the Department of Computer Science. Mr. Matogoro has Msc. in Computer Science from University of Dodoma, BSc. in Computer Science from University of Dar es Salaam and Certificate in Network Security from UTL Technologies LTD, Bangalore, India. He has attended a number of National and International Workshop such as Network Monitoring and Management organized by AfNOG, 2011; Computer Emergency Response Team organized by AfricaCERT, 2013; Systems and Network Security organized by tzNOG, 2013; Scalable Network Infrastructure organized by AfNOG, 2014; Windows Server 2012 Configuration and Administration organized by Microsoft Innovation Center, Tanzania through Microsoft 4Afrika Initiative; Innovation and Entrepreneurship organized by Microsoft Innovation Center, Tanzania through Microsoft 4Afrika Initiative; Windows 8 Apps Development organized by Microsoft Innovation Center, Tanzania through Microsoft 4Afrika Initiative and Cyber Security organized by Microsoft Innovation Center, Tanzania through Microsoft 4Afrika Initiative;
Mr. Matogoro is an ICANN Fellow at ICANN 54, Dublin, Ireland. At ICANN 54, he has indicated interest in the following areas; DNSSEC, IDN, New gTLD, IANA stewardship transition, At-Large, NextGen@ICANN and become a member to Security and Stability Advisory Committee (SSAC).
Mr. Matogoro has a strong technical background ranging from Free and Open Source Software to Proprietary Software including Microsoft-based Applications. He is also working as the Coordinator of Microsoft Innovation Center hosted at The University of Dodoma and the Manager of Dodoma Internet Exchange Point hosted in the University of Dodoma. Mr. Matogoro is also volunteering as Secretary of ISOC Tanzania Chapter.
At the University of Dodoma, Mr. Matogoro is teaching course such as Computer Network Design for Masters Student; Introduction to Information Technology, Information Security Management, ICT Research Methods for Under graduate students.
Mr. Matogoro is also a PhD Student at the University of Dodoma doing his research on TV White Space as an alternative to connect the Next Billion users especially in rural Tanzania. He is married to Pendo Mseti with four children, Witness, Bryan, Winfrida and Lightness. Mr. Matogoro loves God and is worshiping in SDA Church and is serving as Church Elder in Nzunguni B SDA Church.
