Dr. Nojus Saad is a physician, digital health entrepreneur, and social justice advocate with over eight years of experience at the forefront of digital healthcare innovation, gender equality, and healthcare inclusion. Renowned for his promising work in leveraging digital health technologies, Dr. Saad is committed to addressing health inequities, particularly through the integration of AI and digital solutions in global health strategies.
As the President & CEO of the Youth For Women Foundation, Dr. Saad has driven transformative change, impacting over 6,100 women and children across 70 underserved communities in Iraq, India, and France. His commitment to equitable healthcare is deeply personal, rooted in his early experiences growing up in rural Iraq, where access to essential health services was limited.
Dr. Saad has served as a Senior Digital Policy Fellow with ICANN, making history as the youngest and first-ever physician to hold this role. He has become a strong advocate for inclusive digital policies, emphasizing the potential of the Internet to address digital determinants of health for marginalized communities. As a key leader in the Non-Commercial Stakeholders Group (NCSG) at the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO), he represents civil society in high-level discussions with the ICANN Board, technology companies, and government agencies. His advocacy focuses on leveraging internet infrastructure to advance health equity and social justice.
Dr. Saad is a technical advisor to the WHO and 7 prominent UN Agencies through the Global Action for Measurement of Adolescent Health, where he shapes global adolescent health measurement strategies. His efforts center on integrating digital health technologies and data-driven approaches to improve adolescent health outcomes worldwide, influencing global health indicators, and shaping policy frameworks for young people.
In his roles as Regional Digital Health Researcher at the Digital Transformation for Health Lab and Co-Chair of the Youth Leadership Council at the Global Fund for Children, Dr. Saad is advancing AI-driven healthcare solutions and championing digital health innovation to address the needs of vulnerable populations globally.
Dr. Saad holds a medical degree (MBChB) and has pursued advanced executive training in global health diplomacy through the Karolinska Institute and the Stockholm School of Economics. His multidisciplinary expertise, combining medical knowledge, digital health leadership, and policy advocacy, positions him as a global leader in driving systemic change and health equity through digital health innovation.
