The Internet Governance Project (IGP) is a source of independent analysis of global Internet governance. The group consists of professors, post doctoral researchers and graduate students hosted at the School of Public Policy at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The group conducts policy analysis and comments, blogs on current events in Internet governance, and bring our bring ideas and proposals directly into Internet governance processes at the United Nations, agencies of the U.S. government and the European Commission, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the Regional Internet Address Registries (RIRs) and other venues.
IGP currently focuses on issues such as cybersecurity and its implications for global Internet governance, BGP routing security, trade policy in information services, the governance implications of ICANN’s jurisdiction, ICANN accountability, and the impact of global Internet governance institutions on individual rights to freedom of expression and privacy.
