Rao Naveed Bin Rais is working as Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering Department at Capital University of Science & Technology, in Islamabad since July 2013, and worked previously at the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology in Lahore, Pakistan.

He has been an ICANN Fellow for four ICANN meetings including ICANN50 in London, ICANN52 in Singapore, ICANN53 in Buenos Aires and ICANN54 in Dublin. He has also been ICANN fellowship coach three times. At ICANN, Rais is a member of NCUC/NCSG and is closely working with the SSR team at ICANN for DNSSEC related issues. Moreover, he is also a member of RSSAC Caucus at ICANN.

Rais is currently srrving as President of ISOC Islamabad Chapter and a board member of PK-NOG.

At-Large Advisory Committee. Considers and provides advice on the activities of ICANN related to the interests of individual Internet users (ICANN Bylaws). Not to be confused with the Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group.

Generic Names Supporting Organization. Develops and recommends to the Board substantive policies relating to generic top-level domains and other responsibilities set forth in the Bylaws (ICANN Bylaws).

Root Server System Advisory Committee. Advises the ICANN community and Board on matters relating to the operation, administration, security, and integrity of the Internet's Root Server System (ICANN Bylaws).

Non-Commercial Users Constituency

Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group. Represents the full range of non-commercial entities of the Internet (ICANN Bylaws). Not to be confused with the At-Large Advisory Committee.
