Goethe Institute is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany with a global reach that promotes knowledge of the German language abroad and foster international cultural cooperation. History

Goethe Institute was founded in 1951 with the task of providing further training for foreign German teachers in Germany and was the successor to the German Academy (Deutsche Akademie, DA).
