Lisa A. Hook is the former President and CEO of NeuStar, Inc, having succeeded Jeffrey E. Ganek in 2010.[1] She held the position from 2010-2018.

Career History

From January 2008 to October 2010, Hook served as NeuStar's President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining NeuStar, she served as the COO of AOL Wireless, after having been promoted from Senior Vice President of Wireless Operations at America Online, Inc. She has also served as President/CEO at Sunrocket Inc. From 1991 to 1995, Hook was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Time Warner Telecommunications. She joined Time Warner in 1989 as Special Advisor to the Vice Chairman. From 1987 to 1989, Lisa worked at the Federal Communications Commission as Legal Advisor to the Chairman. From 1985 to 1987, she served as Senior Attorney at Viacom International Inc., and from 1983 to 1985, was an associate with the law firm of Hogan and Hartson in Washington, D.C.[2]

Lisa has been a Partner at Brera Capital Partner Alpine Capital Partners.[3]

She also serves on the boards of several non-profits, including Reed Elsevier PLC, Reed Elsevier NV, Reed Elsevier Group PLC, and The Ocean Foundation.[4]

Education

Lisa attended Wellesley College from 1976 to 1977, before transferring to Duke University, where she received an A.B in 1980. She graduated from the Dickinson School of Law in 1983.[5]
