Nicole Chan is an attorney, a board director of DotAsia, the Vice Chair of the Digital Transformation Association (DTA), and an adjunct professor at the School of Law of College of Social Sciences at National ChengChi University.

Career History[edit | edit source]

From 2016 to 2019, Chan was the Chairperson of the National Communication Commission, a Board Director of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). She was the Vice President & Director General of the Science & Technology Law Institute (STLI) and the Institute for Information Industry from 2013 to 2016. She was Managing Director, Industrial Supporting Division, Institute for Information Industry, Director, Project Office for Creative Culture Industry, Council for Culture Affairs, and Director, Nankang Software Incubator, Ministry of Economic Affairs from 2008 to 2010. She was Chief Legal Officer, Foxlink Group and Senior Advisor & Special Assistant for the Board of III and Director of the Japan Office, Institute for Information Industry from 2006 to 2007. Before that, she practiced law.[1]

Chan has a Master of Business Administration for Executives from National Chengchi University, Taipei, Taiwan, a Master of Law(LL.M.)in Intellectual Property from the University of London, UK, and an LL.B from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan
