Young Eum Lee works with the Korea National Open University and serves as a ccNSO member representing .kr, she has been involved therein since its inception in 2003. She is currently serving as a councilor on the ccNSO Council. Her first term ran from March 2009 to March 2012.[1]

Current Work[edit | edit source]

She is currently a professor in the Department of Media Arts and Sciences at Korea National Open University, a distance learning institution, where she has been working since 1997. Her research and courses deal mainly with new technologies and new media, which includes the Internet, IPTV, DMB, and Satellite Television.[2]

Dr. Lee has been working with the Korean Ministry of Information and Communications' Internet Address Policy Committee since 2006, where she lends her expertise to discussions surrounding Korean Internet and domain policies.[3]

Previous Experience[edit | edit source]

Dr. Lee has previously served as chair of ICANN's Name Committee. She was a member of the Number and Names Committee of KRNIC, the former registry for .kr, from 1999 until the establishment of NIDA, the current registry, in 2004.

She served as a board member for the APTLD in 2002.[4]
