Extended Evaluation is a period in the New gTLD Program that applies to applications that do not pass the Initial Evaluation because they did not provide sufficient information to pass financial, technical, registry services, or geographic name reviews. After the applicants elect to proceed with the Extended Evaluation, the evaluator performs a review and writes Clarifying Questions, which are shared within three weeks via the CSC Portal. The applicants have six weeks to respond to the questions. Then, the evaluators take up to three weeks to evaluate the responses.[1]
