Mark Svancarek has worked at Microsoft since 1993 and has held various roles in hardware, software and online services throughout the company. He holds eight U.S. patents. He is presently a Principal Program Manager in Microsoft's Privacy and Regulatory Affairs team. He has previously served as representative for the Business Constituency for the WHOIS EPDP effort, and in the leadership of Universal Acceptance Steering Group. As of 2022, he is Chair of the EAI Working Group within UASG.
Svancarek first attended ICANN 45 in Toronto. He then attended all meetings from ICANN 53 in Buenos Aires through ICANN 72 (remote).
