Department of Internet and Communications Technology or DICT, is a governmental agency in the Republic of Philippines that ensures access to vital ICT infrastructure and services.[1]

The Department of Science and Technology-Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI), in collaboration with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), organized the Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) Workshop from November 14th to 16th, 2018, in Diliman, Quezon City. The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance the understanding of local networking professionals regarding DNSSEC. Over the span of three days, DNS administrators were introduced to DNSSEC principles and were provided with guidance on server configuration, security protocols, and operational practices. Notably, this workshop marked the inaugural DNSSEC Workshop conducted by ICANN in the Philippines.[2]
