TAGCAIT is managed and operated by its parent company, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization, which authorized its member company, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International to create an international alliance with the University of Cambridge.
TAGI and the Cambridge International Examinations agreed on June 18, 2001 to establish TAGCAITC as the exclusive provider of online IT training courses with additional learning resources to prepare students to gain International IT Skills Award diplomas. The Skills Center was officially established in 2002. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh’s main objective in establishing TAGCAIT is to improve training, qualification, education opportunities, build human capacities and bridge the digital gap between the Arab region and the industrialized world.[1]
Currently, TAGCAITC has more than 70 accredited centers in 12 Arab countries; which include Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Qatar, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, U.A.E. and Yemen.
The company aims to expand the number of its centers to include all countries in the region.
