Konstantinos Komaitis is a Senior Lecturer of IT&T Law at the University of Strathclyde.[1] He teaches about Internet law, trademarks, and domain names.
Industry Involvement
Mr. Komaitis has been a member of ICANN's NCUC since 2005; and he is the current chair of the constituency, with a tenure set for Jan. 2011 to Jan. 2012. He has also been involved in other special working groups and bodies; he was a member of the 2009 -2010 Special Trademark Issues Team, the Cross Community Working Group, and the Policy Process Steering Committee; he has also worked on the Post-Delegation Dispute Resolution Policy and the Registrar Accreditation Agreement. He is a member of ISOC.[2]
Prof. Komaitis is the former chair of GigaNet, an academic network interested in Internet governance. He continues to serve as a panelist for the Czech Arbitration Forum, which is the responsible legal body for all .eu domains involved in the UDRP.
