Pacific ICT Regulatory Resource Centre

PiRRC, or Pacific ICT Regulatory Resource Centre, is a project that is administered by LIRNEasia for the World Bank. It is currently located in Fiji and directed by Muhammed Aslam Hayat.[1] The organization's establishment was officially endorsed at the Pacific Regional Information & Communication Technology Ministers held on June 18th, 2010 in Nuku’alofa, Tonga.[2]

PiRRC encourages the sharing of information and industry data to aid ICT policymaking and regulation throughout the Pacific. They work with a cross-section of individuals to accomplish this goal, including national regulators, policymakers, and regional institutions such as University of the South Pacific and the [PIFS|Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat]. Their Steering Committee consists of representatives from Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Federated States of Micronesia, Samoa, Cook Islands, and Australia.[2]
