"Sharp Corporation is an electronics manufacturer headquartered in Osaka, Japan. The company is known worldwide as a leading manufacturer of LCD display technology products, and for having produced many industry and world first product innovations. Established in 1912 the companyʹs trademark and name is derived from the ʺsharp pencilʺ (mechanical pencil) that it invented in 1915. This year SHARP celebrates its 100th anniversary while remaining committed to two principal ideals, ʺSincerity and Creativityʺ through which we aim to improve peopleʹs lives and make a real contribution to society.
.sharp is a domain for Sharp Corporation and its stakeholders. The primary purpose of .sharp is to consolidate Sharp Corporation-related domain names registered under various TLDs into an official .sharp extension.
..

Important Note: No individual-basis registrations will be allowed. In other words, the board members, employees, and contract staff of the companies listed above are not permitted to be registrants of .sharp domain names."[2]
