Userbox Templates

I don't quite get the concept of the userbox templates, e.g. RrSG member and regular attending ICANN meetings. A member of the RrSG is only for registrars, therefore I don't understand why people have this "badge". The regular attending ICANN meeting badge is a bit pointless, because we then need to add it to almost everyone? --Arthur.hicks (talk) 09:33, 24 July 2014 (PDT)

Response

Great question. The Userbox templates are, for the most part, a "fun" thing we add to people's pages, but we do feel they are also important. RrSG members get badges because they represent their Registrar company in the Registrar stakeholder group and attend ICANN meetings in order to participate in this group, so that is why individual people have them and not companies. The "regular ICANN Meeting" badge we put on people's profiles who have attended many ICANN meetings, usually 10 meetings or more. The badge is meant to highlight a person who has been a part of the ICANN community for a long time. We have another template reserved for the few people who have been to 30+ ICANN meetings!

Does that seem to clear things up? I very much appreciate the feedback, as you are right it might be confusing to some users of ICANNWiki that an individual person has a RrSG badge and not the company. And maybe we should change the Regular ICANN Attendee badge to "Has Attended 10+ ICANN meetings"

Ok, then I will add it to the people. I guess that same goes for the RySG. Regarding UBX-ICANNREG, I agree. It should be renamed to "Has Attended 10+ ICANN meetings". --Arthur.hicks (talk) 23:14, 24 July 2014 (PDT)

As far as I could for now done. --Arthur.hicks (talk) 00:50, 25 July 2014 (PDT)

Thanks looks great! --Jonah (talk) 09:19, 25 July 2014 (PDT)
