Mark Svancarek ("marksv") has worked at Microsoft since 1993 and has held various roles in hardware, software and online services throughout the company. He holds eight U.S. patents. He is presently a Principal Program Manager on the international standards group in Microsoft's Privacy, Safety and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) team under Julie Brill.
marksv has previously served as representative for the Business Constituency for the WHOIS EPDP effort, and in the leadership of Universal Acceptance Steering Group. As of 2024, he is Chair of the EAI Working Group within UASG.
marksv first attended ICANN 45 in Toronto. He then attended all meetings from ICANN 53 in Buenos Aires through ICANN 72 (remote).
