.adac is a Brand TLD and Community Priority Application being proposed in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The applicant is ADAC,[1] which is an independent, not for-profit organization, with some 18 million members, making it the largest European automobile club and the second-largest worldwide. It is comparable to the American Automobile Association (AAA), which is in fact the only larger such organization. It is especially well known in Germany, where it began. It is envisioned to be a Closed TLD ("single-registrant TLD") by the applicant.[2]
