There were originally two applicants for this TLD, Donuts and Luxury Partners, LLC, but the latter won the contention set in a private gTLD auction for an undisclosed amount. It was auctioned off in the first round of such auctions held by Innovative Auctions in June 2013.[1]
Contract Signed
On 17 Oct 2013 Luxury Partners, LLC received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .luxury after passing the Initial Evaluation.[2]
