Aaron Kornblum leads the Security Policy team for Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business (IEB). [1]

Aaron Kornblum and ICANN

ICANN coordinates the allocation and assignments of domain names, Internet Protocol addresses and protocol port and parameter numbers. [2] Microsoft was accredited to be an ICANN Registrar in November of 2006 and has the ability to sell domains directly. [3]

Professional Achievements

Leading the Security Policy Team for Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business (IEB), Aaron guides an organization focused on solving complex challenges across anti-piracy, confidential information management, privacy and online safety, content ratings, Accessibility, geopolitical matters, and patent protection. Aaron’s team protects the IEB by driving comprehensive solutions across these areas by partnering with numerous engineering, legal, marketing, media relations, and operations teams across the global business. Microsoft’s IEB – home to more than 7,000 employees – produces the video game and entertainment console Xbox 360, and its innovative motion-control sensor to be launched this holiday 2010: Kinect for Xbox 360. The IEB also encompasses the Xbox LIVE online gaming service which delivers Netflix movies, Xbox console games including the Halo and Gears of War franchises, PC Games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Zune portable multimedia player, and associated TV, video, and music delivery services. Aaron was named to the Puget Sound Business Journal's "40 Under 40" list for 2010, a select group of the region's next generation of business leaders. Aaron is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, all federal, state and bankruptcy courts in Washington State, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Armed Forces. [6]
