In 1997, Fausett broke ground while handling one of the first major disputes between a domain name registrant and a trademark owner, over the rights to earth.com. The following year he worked with the gaming giant Hasbro to negotiate the internet rights for the company's famous games, leading to the creation of games.com, one of the web's first gaming sites.
