David Conrad''' presently works for ICANN as Vice President of Research and IANA Strategy.

Mr. Conrad has been working in the Internet Industry since 1983. From 1991-1998, he lived in Japan and he was the Seventh Employee at Internet Initiative Japan ([[IIJ]]). IIJ was one of the first commercial [[ISP]]s of Japan. He founded the Asia Pacific Network Information Center ([[APNIC[[) and served there as a Director General from 1993-1998.  

David worked at Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) and was founder and the first Director-General of the APNIC in 1993. He worked at the Internet Software Consortium (ISC) and was CTO of Nominum. David also served on the board of ARIN till 2005

When he returned to US in 1998, he joined [[ISC]] in the capacity of an Executive Director. He worked there till 2001 and then founded [[Nominum]]. He held the post of CTO at Nominum for four years. David also served as a board member of the North American regional [[IP]] address registry, [[ARIN]], from 2000 to 2005 and as ARIN treasurer from 2004 to 2005.
