Deborah joined [[ICANN]] as a member of the gTLD Team on October 31st, 2011 as the Administrative Assistant for the team. She is now a Next Generation Coordinator for the Development and Public Responsibility Department where she is responsible for supporting the operation of the Fellowship and NextGen Programs through coordination of work plans, materials and outreach.

Escalera joined ICANN as a member of the [[gTLD]] Team on 31 October 2011 as the team's administrative assistant. She then moved on to become a Business Analyst for the team and in 2015 changed departments to become the Coordinator for the NextGen@ICANN program under the Development and Public Responsibility Department.
