'''Extended Evaluation''' is a period in the [[New gTLD Program]] that applies to applications that do not pass the [[Initial Evaluation]] because they did not provide sufficient information to pass financial, technical, registry services, or geographic name reviews. After the applicants elect to proceed with the Extended Evaluation, the evaluator performs a review and writes Clarifying Questions, which are shared within three weeks via the CSC Portal. The applicants have six weeks to respond to the questions.
