'''ICANN 18''' took place in Carthage, [[Tunisia]], and was to be the first [[ICANN]] event held in this part of the world. The event lasted for five days and was seen as a very successful event to the organizers.
== Context ==
Several Topics were discussed throughout the Event, which had taken the form of many different meetings. Some of the meetings that took place included information on the ICANN website redesign, a governmental advisory committee meeting and also a meeting on all Top level Domains, to discuss any problems in any of these areas.
All people interested, were invited to attend the meetings, although pre-registration was advised to ensure the space was available to attend. A new election of ICANN officers was also scheduled to take place in this event, and did so in the final board meeting of ICANN 18.
