Two months prior to the implementation of the new gTLD program, the Coalition Against Domain Name Abuse (CADNA) requested ICANN to determine and announce a definitive date to implement a second round of new gTLD applications. On February 7, 2012, the ICANN Board approved a resolution to implement a second application window for the new gTLD program.
