TAGCAIT is managed and operated by its’ parent company, [[TAG-Org|Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization]], which authorized its member company, [[TAGI|Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International]] to create and international alliance with the University of Cambridge.

TAGI and the Cambridge International Examinations agreed on June 18, 2001 to establish TAGCAITC as the exclusive provider of online IT training courses with additional learning resources to prepare students to gain International IT Skills Award diplomas. The Skills Center was officially established in 2002.
