Ashwin Sasongko Sastrosubroto is an researcher with the Indonesian Institute of Sciences, Research Center for ICT (http://www.informatika.lipi.go.id/). Ashwin is also a member of The Indonesian National ICT Council, a Council set up by the President to give advice to the Government on the development of ICT in Indonesia (http://www.wantiknas.go.id/). He also give lectures and carry out Research in several Universities in Bandung, Indonesia and also active in sevaral ICT Communities organizations. He is also involved with ICANN through the GAC. His long-term goals including developing the ICT sector in Indonesia, both the Industry and the Applications.

As of ICANN 62 in Panama City, Ashwin Sastrosubroto had attended more than 12 ICANN Meetings and had also been to ITU, IGF and WSIS. Ashwin was the Chair of IGF 8 held in Bali, Indonesia, during which time he was the Director General of ICT Application with The Indonesian Ministry of ICT.
