My name is Joseph Tokop, a student at Shang Tao media arts collage in Kenya, pursuing a short course in cartoon animations. Iā€™ am originally from South Sudan. I have worked as a freelance cartoonist for the civil society and my cartoons have been published at various news outlets in Juba, and campaign materials, especially before and after independence. My latest work was in preparation for a visual aid book for the Boma council members, with the (MSG) Monyomiji Support Group. A project funded by Norwegian Church Aid South Sudan, Pax, and other partners; notably, The Diocesan of Torit, Africa Inland Church University of Juba and the University of Osaka, Japan. MSG (Monyomiji Support Group) is a traditional governance System for the youth, practiced by communities in East bank Equatoria.
