Jonathan's first ICANN mtg was ICANN30 in 2007, when IANA was first inserting IDNs into the root zone. At ICANN Public Forum in 2010, he advocated that constant changes to the new gTLD Applicant Guidebook were not good for business or rights' holders either. At the Forum on DNS Abuse in Singapore in 2011, he advocated that ICANN, IETF and IAB should have a strong liaison relationship to combat cybercrime.

Jonathan has appeared in The Domains and Domain Name Wire, has been a Delegated Expert at the Council of Europe at the Cybercrime Octopus Conference, and spoke to trademark owners on a panel with eBay about Twitter & trademark rights at the Computer History Museum, and about advance fee fraud at the RSA eFraud Network. He has represented rights' holders in many DRPs throughout the world, as well as in many domain and mail-abuse related litigations involving hundreds of millions of dollars.
